Kalindikhal Pass Trek

Package 1: : 18 days

Best Season: July - Sept.

Day 1: Arrive - Delhi
On arrival at the New Delhi International Airport you will be met by our representative who will escort you to your hotel. Check -in, have dinner, and retire for the day.

Day 2: Delhi-Rishikesh
After having breakfast, a drive of 225 km will take you to Rishiskesh via Haridwar. Rishikesh is also known as the 'Gateway to Himalayas'. Owing to its pristine location, it is also an important center of Yoga and Meditation. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. After lunch, you can visit the various temples and yoga Ashrams in and around Rishikesh. In the evening experience and enjoy the 'Ganga Aarti.' After sight seeing, return to the hotel, have dinner, and retire for the day.

Day 3: Rishikesh-Uttarkashi
Post breakfast, proceed by road to Uttarkashi, 155 km away, situated at a height of 1150 mts. Uttarkashi acts as a base for many mountaineering and trekking expeditions in Gangotri valley. It is also the home to the Nehru Mountaineering Institute, one of India's foremost institutes. On arrival, check-in at the resort. After lunch, spend the afternoon visiting the sights and sounds of Uttarkashi. Return to the resort, have a great dinner, and rest those aching muscles.

Day 4: Uttarkashi-Gangotri
After breakfast, a 90 km drive will take you to Gangotri; at a height of 3048 mts. Gangotri is famous as the place where Goddess Ganga made her descent from heaven. You start your trek in the Gangotri valley from here. On arrival, make your way to the tourist lodge. Post lunch, the temple of Goddess Ganga is a must-see. Return to the lodge, have dinner, and call it a day.

Day 5: Gangotri-Bhojbasa
After having your breakfast, you will begin your 14 km trek to Bhojbasa. The trail will run along the right bank of the river Bhagirathi and is mostly a gradual upward climb. Lunch will be served to you in the afternoon. Bhojbhasa gives you an imposing view of the Bhagirathi group of peaks. A camp will be your accommodation for the night, where you can retire, after dinner.

Day 6: Bhojbasa-Nandanvan
A trek to Nandanvan begins, post breakfast. Nandanvan is situated at a height of 4500 mts, and is reached via Gaumukh. Gaumukh is the point of origin of the river Ganges. The trail to Nandanvan takes you over the Gangotri glacier. Lunch will be served in the afternoon. Nandanvan also acts as a base camp, if you want to climb the Bhagirathi group of mountains. A camp has been arranged for the night, where you can retire after dinner.

Day 7: Nandanvan-Vasuki Tal
Post breakfast, an 11 km trek will take you along the Chaturangi Glacier to Vasuki Tal (4898 mt). Lunch will be served in the afternoon. Vasuki Tal acts as a base camp for mountaineering expeditions to Mt Satopanth and Mt Vasuki Parbat. On arrival, you will be put up in a camp, where you can have a good nights rest after dinner.

Day 8: Vasuki Tal - Khara Pathar (Suralya Bamak)
After breakfast, an 8 km trek will take you to Khara Pathar, situated at a height of 5456 mts. Lunch will be served in the afternoon, and your overnight accommodation will be a camp, where you can rest your aching muscles, post dinner.

Day 9: Khara Pathar - Kakindikhal Base

After having breakfast, begin the 10 km trek to Kalindikhal Base on the Sweta Glacier at a height of 5500 mts. The trail follows the Chaturangi glacier. Lunch will be served in the afternoon. On arrival a camp will be set up for your overnight stay. After dinner, retire for the day.

Day 10: Kalindikhal Base-Rajaparav

After breakfast, you will start your most challenging trek to date. It will begin with a climb to Kalindi Pass. After a brief stop over, you will begin your descent, which takes you over a steep glacier and ice walls. Lunch will be served to you in the afternoon. On arrival at Rajparva, you can give your tired body, some well deserved rest by having dinner and retiring to your tent.

Day 11: Rajparav-Arwa Tal

Post breakfast, a 13 km trek will take you to Arwa Tal. The trek takes you along the Arwa Bank glacier for most of time before reaching Rajparva. Lunch will be served in the afternoon. Your accommodation here will be a tent. After dinner, you can retire for the day.

Day 12: Arwa Tal-Ghastoli

After breakfast, a morning's trek will take you to Ghastoli. This 16 km long trek follows the Arwa Nala, and is a gradual descent. You will be put up at a tent, where you can retire after a hearty dinner.

Day 13: Ghastoli-Mana-Badrinath

Post breakfast, you will trek 16 km to Mana village. It is the last village in this valley. Following lunch, you will drive to Badrinath. Badrinath is one of the four Dhams in the Himalyas and is one of the most important pilgrimages for Hindus. On arrival, check-in at the hotel, have dinner, and retire for the day.

Day 14: Badrinath

After breakfast, you will spend the morning, visiting the Badrinath temple where you will experience the puja (prayer). After lunch, you are at a liberty to visit the places of interest of Badrinath. You can retire for the day, after dinner.

Day 15: Badrinath-Joshimath

After a fortifying breakfast, you will be taken by road to Joshimath. Post arrival, you will check-in at the hotel. Post lunch, you will be taken to Auli. Auli a famous ski resort during winter, while in summer it is a picturesque large meadow. It offers beautiful view of the Nanda Devi mountain range. Return to you hotel, have dinner, and retire for the day.

Day 16: Joshimath-Rishikesh

Post breakfast you will begin the drive to Rishikesh. On arrival, lunch will be served. Check in at the hotel, relax, enjoy dinner, and sleep you weariness off.

Day 17: Rishikesh-Delhi

After having your breakfast, you will be driven to Delhi with a brief stop-over at Haridwar. Here you can visit the famous Har-ki-Pauri ghat. Following lunch, you will resume you journey to Delhi. Check-in at the hotel, have dinner, and retire for the day.

Day 18: Depart-Delhi

Have breakfast, spend time at your leisure or take the option of a sightseeing tour of Delhi. A transfer to the international airport has also been arranged, as per the timing of your flight.
