Orissa is located on the east coast of India. The state with a long coastline of 482 kms is also a storehouse of mineral wealth. Chandipur Beach: The beach has a distinctive view of seawater that daily recedes away from the shoreline for about five kms. Chandipur beach is 16 kms from Balasore.

Gopalpur on Sea: This Orissa beach is famous for sailing and surfing. It is located 16 kms from Berhampur. It is one of the finest beaches on the eastern coast.
 
Balighai Beach: It is located 8 kms from Puri and is the perfect picnic spot for the tourists.  This beach of Orissa is covered with Casuarina trees. A Sea Turtle Research Center on this beach is also an added attraction for its visitors.
