Lakshadweep means ‘a hundred thousands islands’. Lakshadweep is the smallest union territory of India. It is located about 300 kms off of to the coast of Kerala in the Arabian Sea. This island is very close to two other islands named, Agatti and Kavaratti
Kadamat Beach
It is the only island that has lagoon on both its west and east sides. Widely known for its diving spot, the island also has a full-fledged water sports institute and a dive school with well-trained instructors for the tourists. Kavaratti Beach
It is the most developed island in Lakshadweep. The place is famous for its sandy beaches. Tourists can also visit the Marine Aquarium and museum that exhibits the marine life of the region. One can also enjoy the exotic underwater world through glass-bottomed boats.
Kalpeni Beach
This place has the largest lagoons and is a perfect place for water sports. The island is known for its striking beauty along with small islets named, Tilakkam, Pitti, and Cheriyam. A huge shallow lagoon encloses these islands. Tourists can also avail kayaks, sail boats, and pedal boats to explore the natural beauty of this beach in Lakshadweep. The island also has four tourist cottages managed by the islanders.
