Hyderabad is the capital city of the state of Andhra Pradesh in Southern India. Since 2000, this telugu dominated city has transformed itself in terms of communication satellite networks, infrastructure and employment avenues. Modern Hyderabad is a bustling metropolis boasting of hi-tech townships of luxurious condominiums and luxury hotels. It is the recognized IT city of India. It is the home of the largest IT concern of India, Satyam and invites NRI's and foreign investors to its folds on a daily basis. A recent survey showed that Hyderabad boasts of a high immigrant population. Traditional Hyderabad society exists side by side with this modern glamorous society. Ethnic telugu speaking Muslims live in close harmony with native telugu Brahmins. Hyderabad forms the seat of education with many students coming to the city from the interiors.
