Hyderabad is the capital city of the state of Andhra Pradesh in Southern India. Since 2000, this telugu dominated city has transformed itself in terms of communication satellite networks, infrastructure and employment avenues. Modern Hyderabad is a bustling metropolis boasting of hi-tech townships of luxurious condominiums and luxury hotels. It is the recognized IT city of India with close ties to Bangalore. It is the home of the largest IT concern of India, Satyam and invites NRI's and foreign investors to its folds on a daily basis. A recent survey showed that Hyderabad boasts of a high immigrant population. Traditional Hyderabad society exists side by side with this modern glamorous society. Ethnic telugu speaking Muslims live in close harmony with native telugu Brahmins. Hyderabad forms the seat of education with many students coming to the city from the interiors. The cities of Hyderabad and Bangalore seem to be competing with each other for the honor of being the IR epicenter of India. However, there can be no comparison. Hyderabad has excellent infrastructural and employment opportunities. Bangalore has a thriving foreign investment attraction option combined with enviable academic standards. Both cities offer the traveler myriad choices of residential and commercial investment. Hyderabad and Bangalore form the main centers of IT in India and house hordes of multinational corporations. Both cities have benefited from the SEZ initiative in 2005, improving upon existent infrastructure to develop sleepy suburbs. Today, the cityscapes of Hyderabad and Bangalore are a sight to behold with never-ending highways, tall skyscrapers, plush malls and upscale hi-tech townships. New and modern residential localities are constantly being developed on the outskirts of the main city. A well connected transportation system coupled with satellite communication serve in good stead. Good higher education facilities also forge a bond between the two cities. On the other hand, Bangalore is referred to as the tourist destinations for the residents of Hyderabad.
