A recent study in 2006 claimed that domestic passenger carriers from Delhi to Goa had gone up about 61%. This indicates three issues:

» Increase in the number of aircraft seats
» Decrease in domestic airfare from Delhi to Goa
Domestic flights are usually cheap for students. Charter service planes ply for tourists. They place heavy emphasis on the economy class. These flights are scheduled at all times of the day. But, surveys show that service flights peak at afternoon and late evenings. These flights have a lot of restrictions. Usually domestic flights are occupied by tourist families. Indirect domestic flights stop at Goa as the first transit stop before flying down south. Special airline tour packages offering first class airline seats, bookings in airport hotels and excellent airport transportation are also offered.
