These flights are also patronized by IT personnel and government executives. They usually run at special scheduled times during the mornings till noon and then in the late evenings. International flights:
  • Indirect international flights generally come in from UK, USA, Europe and Australia
  • These flights stop at the Delhi airport as a transit stop where old passengers leave the craft and new ones board the plane. The airline crew also changes, fuelling is done and the plane leaves for Chennai
  • Indirect international flights usually start from UK airports in the late evenings to arrive at Delhi the next day in the early morning
  • The flight then sits on the runway and flies to Chennai only during the day arriving at the city airport at noon or in the early evening hours. In total, indirect international flights take about two whole days.
  • Usually these flights are expensive catering to foreign tourists, investors and students
  • Special indirect international flights are also offered to students at discount rates.
  • More emphasis is placed on the business class seats on these flights
  • Online booking is available but it is preferred that passengers make bookings directly to avail of any discount facilities.
